FAQs
Are there any permits required?
Florida law requires all persons to obtain a permit from FWC prior to controlling, removing or altering aquatic plants in waters of the state unless the waters or activities are expressly exempt from the permitting requirements.
How do I apply for a permit if I need one?
We can do it for you, or you can contact Sharon Stinson at Sharon.Stinson@myfwc.com or call 863-534-7074 for help.
How long do the results last?
Aquatic weed control is like cutting your grass. Vegetation grows, so it needs to be regularly maintained. Options exist.
Do you spray any chemicals in the water?
We prefer mechanical removal so that lakes can stay healthy without excessive dead vegetation (i.e. muck). Not everyone subscribes to this method, so we offer alternatives as well.
How long does it take to clear my lake?
Most jobs can be completed in one day.
How is your service different than others?
We do it right the first time. When we mess up, we fess up, and fix it... without additional cost.
Do you remove the debris you took from the lake from my property?
Unlike many services out there, we completely remove the aquatic vegetation from your property. 100%.
WE do not leave any vegetation on your shoreline.
Is there any danger to the wildlife in the water?
No. Mechanical removal is 100% safe for your aquatic life... in fact, it is likely to improve it. (Read: more fish!)
Do you provide a guarantee?
We do what we promise. Every time. If you feel we didn't, we invite your feedback, and we will make it right.
Do you provide free quotes?
Yep! Call or text us - 352.593.3364
What is the process after I accept your quote?
We love simple. We will share what times are available, and you choose the window that works best for you.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept just about any form of monetary payment that you use. Except for candy... much to my children's dismay, we don't accept candy.
If I am a repeat customer, do I need another quote?
It depends. If we are on a VIP maintenance plan - no. Periodic work on your shoreline may vary from job to job.
If my neighbors also want your service, do you offer a group discount?
Yes, yes, yes! There is a significant cost to simply "mobilize". With several jobs next door, we can divide the mobilization cost across many jobs.
What are the areas you cover, and are there any travel costs?
Our primary market is central Florida. Additional travel costs are calculated if outside our primary service zone.
What happens if I need to reschedule my service?
It happens. Cancellations or reschedules need to be done 48 hours in advance.
